Cats and dementia

So people that have cats are kinda obsessed with them, and I notice people with cats or who have previously owned cats get irrationally angry whenever there is any criticism of the furry little bastards. They get particularly angry when asked to keep them inside so as to stop shitting on other people's herb beds, or to stop killing both wild birds at the feeder or backyard poultry. They even get angry at the thought of confining them in coyote or lynx areas where free roaming cats are basically lunch. Not only that, they spend thousands of pounds and dollars on cat toys and cat accessories.

I think that owning or living with cats causes some sort of dementia. I'm going to call it "Cat acquired narcissism by proxy". I need to find a methodology and a sponsor for some experiments to get me this result. Hopefully it'll eventually mean that cat owners are barred from public policy talks whenever the subject of culling feral cats (any cat out of doors) is brought up for implementation.

Does anyone else think that this year's Olympics have peaked early with that guy? It seems like, between him and Saudi Arabia's team having to walk behind a woman driver, whatever happens now is just an anti-climax.
