That was...surprising. I wasn't expecting Bill to talk about sex, suicide, and torture. Was kind of interesting to see how dark Alex made him for the Ama! He didn't let too much slip by, but he confirmed that the twins are indeed named Stanford and Stanley. Also it seems he has some people on his side in Gravity Falls aside from Gideon. I wonder how that's going to play out.

Dating people who look like you or your family

I've seen a few comments about famous people looking like their spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend a few times (Benedict Cumberbatch and his fiancee got it a few times, though I didn't think they looked much alike).

I once went to a funeral for my neighbor's husband. I met a guy who I immediately assumed was the husband's brother. They totally looked alike, right down to having the same style of mustache.

Turns out, he was the wife's brother. She had married a guy who could've been her brother's twin.

Have you encountered this? Do you date people who look like you or like your relatives (or act like you or your relatives...)? Or do you prefer people who are really different from you?

I was listening to a podcast today (The Truth) that focuses on short stories. Usually funny, creepy, or dramatic ones. But today one of the stories, You Are Not Alone, had me in tears at work. It was so heartwarming, I immediately re-listened to it. Needless to say, I did not expect to be in tears at work from listening to a 15 minute podcast!

A terrible movie, but unhappily close to home.

BF is 29, I am 28.

Have been with him since I was 17.

I have since moved out with of my parent house, and now live with a friend. I would really really like to live with the boyfriend but he still lives with his parents. He has no intention of moving out. I know this because I am constantly talking to him about it. Every time I do he responds with something like "I'm sorry, I just really really don't want to move out until I have to." He keeps saying he's happy and safe and comfortable living in his parents house, and I do get it, his food is all cooked for him, his laundry is all taken care of, and his limited money goes much further than it would if he moved out, so I do understand the appeal, but at the same time I want him to move in with me so we can start, you know, being grown-ups together.

Don't really know what I can do about this. Is this a problem? will he grow out of this? It seems like there's nothing that will dislodge him. Is this just something I have to live with?

I run a community that's changed a lot in personality. I've had some issues with it, but I don't want to dictate how people post unless they're explicitly breaking rules. However, recently someone mentioned having the same concerns I did.

Is there a discreet way to tell a member you agree without being catty? I thought about PMing them in private, but I wasn't sure if that would open a can of worms, especially if they ended up telling others, "even the mod agrees this place sucks now." Not that I really think she would, but you have to be careful. So I don't know.

I'm a woman. Here are things I've never experienced:

-I have never been treated poorly in an MMO for being female
-I have never had my "greek cred" questioned because I'm female
-I have never been catcalled
-When I had a dating profile, I never got creepy messages. I just got regular messages from interested people
-I have never had a guy act like a jackass after I turned him down

I could go on. The only thing that's happened to me is someone grabbed my butt at a concert once.

All of the things that happen to women regularly...I KNOW they happen. I've seen them happen. But they don't happen to me. I don't get it. I guess I'm glad, but...what makes me different? Why do some of us never experience this shit and others experience it all the time? I don't think it's an attractiveness thing, either, because I've never really had trouble attracting people.

and it's apparently been fucked up for a couple of months and now my anti-virus is detecting a bunch of unknown devices on my network. I'm not in a very populated area so these are probably not local.

Would resetting the router and changing the password fix this problem? What's the best course of action I can take so this doesn't happen again?
