I was continuously depressed when I was a teenager/throughout my early 20s. I was never diagnosed, and eventually it seemed to just go away. Sometimes I have pretty severe mood swings but my general state is normally pretty peaceful.

I can feel, in this very moment, a horrible depression coming on, just like I used to feel when I was younger-- the anxiety, the panic that I can't stop it. I've been thinking off-handedly about suicide for a few days, I haven't been sleeping, and now this; I didn't add it up. Is there something I can do to stop it from coming on? Anything at all?? I remember what horrible depression was like, I don't want to go back

Please stop tagging every single character who makes a 10-second cameo in your 300k epic. It's hard enough to find decent fic about my favourite character without having to wade through all fics that tag her even though she only appears in two paragraphs of the entire story.

Considering that this is a federal agency which interacts with just about everyone in the United States, I do not feel this is an accomplishment to announce with pride.

Anon who wanted to know how to inform their friend of their horrible BO, my advice to you, in the bluntest way possible is -- unless she actually appears unclean -- to sit down and shut up.

There are a lot of things that can cause strange odor, ranging from poor hygiene to illness, medication, or even the food we eat. Body chemistry is a strange thing, and isn't the same for everybody. By confronting your friend, you're putting her in the awkward position of either having to divulge information that could be very personal or feeling like her friends think she doesn't know how to bathe herself.

And that's not a fun place to be.

So in the complaints forum I posted a vent about people who complained and flamed over things in fics (or art but mostly fics) that were warned or obvious, like complaining about the presence of OCs or a ship.

I specified in my rant that I didn't mind it if they had ACTUAL critique and I love ACTUAL critique, but just complaining in the vain of "take this down " or "get off the internet" . I basically said "you do realize that critiquing tends to work a lot better and you get people to listen to you/

I ended up arguing with someone who thought they shouldn't even have to SPECIFY what they didn't like. he / she didn't care about helping people with critique and just wanted to say whatever. I knew the internet was rough but I never imagined being called a "bloody cunt" for asking people to give actually helpful and useful critique.

Maybe I worded myself wrong.

Is there an art website where there are less people like this?

Secret 1 - Fandom friendship

I used to have a close fandom friend. But some things changed and they stopped talking to me. Eventually we fought over something stupid and fandom related and they ended everything between us. They said some hurtful things to me and I was probably a jerk too, but I keep waiting for them to come back. It's been a while. I should accept that it's not going to happen. But I miss how things used to be.
