Spontaneous Avengers Mini-Stream!

So I'm hosting stream next week. It'll be my first time hosting since moving into my new apartment though, so I wanted to test my upload/streaming quality beforehand. Feel free to jump in for a couple minutes and tell me if the quality's okay or if it's lagging/jumpy etc.

I'll stream an episode of the Avengers, either "Something Nasty in the Nursery" or "Escape Through Time". Both episodes are filled with crackalicious, 1960's, British spy-fy goodness. You guys can vote here or there if any of you actually happen to have a preference.

A serious question about Doctor Who season 8 from a hater

Inspired by secret 9, but not really on topic for the thread.

So, I quit watching season 8 of Doctor Who about halfway through (IIRC the last episode I watched was Kill The Moon) because I wasn't enjoying it. And looking back and analyzing it, one of the main reasons was because it felt like Clara and the Doctor had no chemistry at all. In fact it seemed like they kind of hated each other.

Oh sure they'd always manage to make up in the end, but in between it'd be nothing but fights and insults and anger. It almost felt like Moffat had decided as an experiment to see if he could make a season of Who where the companion and the Doctor didn't get along, and only kept traveling together because Clara loved space travel and the Doctor needed a human to boss him around. And I really just hated that dynamic.

But now... I look at the comments for secret 9 and there's multiple people talking about how great the chemistry between Clara and the Doctor was, and it makes me wonder... like, what? Am I crazy, or did something happen after I stopped watching, or what?

I mean, maybe you can make the case that it's not wise, but...it's not pedophilia. That's not what that word means.

Chrome vs Firefox

I use Firefox. But I have lately been thinking of using Chrome. I am hesitant because of several Add-Ons I use on Firefox. The biggest are Xkit and Stylish. Both are on Chrome but they are hell to set up. Also, Xkit guy has an easier time updating on Firefox so when Tumblr fucks something up, he can fix it quicker.

Bookmarks are easily imported from one to the other (saved passwords I think as well). But is Chrome that much better than Firefox to go thru the trouble?

So, has anyone else noticed this?

It seems like people show their support for fanartists by reblogging their work. But people show their support for writers by following them. I've noticed the writers I follow have tons of followers, but hardly any of those people ever comment, like, or reblog the writers' posts. Meanwhile, the artists I follow always get tons of likes and reblogs, even if they have comparatively few followers. People seem to passively engage with writing and actively engage with art.
