I had black bean and collard succotash with salsa over white rice. Usually I hate vegan food but this turned out way better than expected (probably because of my liberal application of hot sauce, but still).

Finally got around to watching TFA. Even though I'd been spoiled on most of the important plot elements, it was a fun, enjoyable movie. I can't decide if Finn or Rey is my favorite character, which surprises me a little cause I actually kind of expected Kylo Ren to be my favorite. Not that I dislike Kylo, he's interesting and I look forward to seeing what is done with him in future movies. I don't have a set opinion on him yet.

Only thing that annoyed me is I thought Captain Phasma would be more involved! >:( There aren't enough badass female villains.

So, who is your favorite TFA character? Is there anything you hope to see in Episode VIII or IX?

I watched "Begin Again" which stars Mark Ruffalo, Keira Knightley, Adam Levine, and CeeLo Green this past weekend. Mark Ruffalo works as an A&R guy for a label in NYC and discovers Keira Knightley and makes a demo with her in New York.

I was not expecting to love this movie as much as I did. I just watched it thinking it'd be something to keep me occupied in the afternoon, but I really loved it and love the music they chose for it.

I watched The Champions on netflix last night; it's about the dogs taken from Michael Vick's dog fighting ring, and their lives after they were rescued.

It's v. good, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's interested!

Anyone else have any netflix (or hulu, or any other online streaming?) requests/recommendations?

It is me. Anon who blocked an over controlling 'friend' phone without telling them. Idk if they have even tried to contact me (I hope not but if they have I have no way of telling. Only blocked on phone so like they could FB or email...) but dilemma.

Mutual friend is expecting a baby. May be forced into digital or IRL contact. Baby showers etc. how can I go about this gracefully? I was thinking if any contact play it cool and graceful like we haven't spoken in nearly a year. The polite friendly but not close most of mutual friends and I have because we grew apart and that is ok.

home bleaching hair

hi guys. i want to bleach my hair so that i can dye in a peachy colour. but i've never bleached my hair before - let alone by myself - and am hoping i can get some advice from those of you who have.

i have naturally red hair. i've heard opposite things: red hair is hard to bleach, and red hair is easier to bleach (since dark hair turns orangey with the first bleach it's like skipping that step so you ultimately apply less). i've dyed my hair twice before (years apart and years since) and the dye took well, so i'm hoping it'll be the same with bleach.

but i'm nervous about messing it up. is this something i should just shell out $ to see a stylist for? or is it simple enough to try at home? thanks in advance.
