Don't let the self-publishedness put you off - the author himself says it's the best thing he's read since Shakespeare and Tolkien. And he would know, being the author. He's also claimed to be better than J.K. Rowling (on a different blog post) because his book is longer.

He has unfortunately been plagued by trolls on Amazon (but took the time to respond to them - he also wrote his own review, but you aren't allowed to do that, so people reported it and it got taken down), as well as mocked on Facebook and on a forum where he posted about his book. By people who haven't even been published, the nerve!!!

You can also look around the blog for more of his brilliant writing and interesting observations on the female gender.

Men Vs Women

Ok, Disclaimer: Attention-grabbing subject line not withstanding, this is genuinely not meant to be a troll thread.

It's something I've been thinking about a lot over the last few weeks, and I have to admit I'm getting more and more angry about it. so here's the issue.

Men Vs Women: Is there any way at this point that the imbalance can be righted? Is there anything the community of men can do at this stage to make any kind of amends? Is there any way of putting right the last few million years of rape and abuse? For want of a better word: can they be redeemed?

As I say I've been thinking about this for a few weeks, and I don't think they can. This makes me sad and angry. but I am willing to be proved wrong. PLEASE remember that I am not trolling, and please keep responses friendly.

I don't know how many times I get someone saying 'you're really quiet, aren't you?' or 'talk more!' from any group I'm in. Coworkers, people I've only met once, people I've BEEN friends with.

I stutter and am incredibly socially awkward, but I'm not shy. I just stay quiet because I need to think about what I'm going to say so I don't look like more of an idiot than usual. I never thought it was that unusual until I got so many comments lately.

Making comments that I'm quiet will make me increasingly so (duh?), and all the more likely to punch you in the throat so we can see how talkative you'll be then. I hear it so often it's just beginning to tick me off.

I'll be taking a long plane ride for the first time in a while in a few days, and I'm looking for some good games to upload to my ipod. Any recommendations? I love any games with good plots, but those are a bit hard to find on the iPod. I'm looking for any sort of game basically.
