I think I like Mako's transformation the best so far. There's something so elegant about the way her hands are animated.

I realize this an extremely touchy subject for some, so I ask that everyone remains civil and withdraw from the conversation if it turns personal.

Before anyone calls troll, the reason I ask is because there are aspects that I sympathize with on both sides of the debate and I think asking here, where everyone can comment anonymously, might give me a better view into the debate than if I were to ask somewhere where usernames are required.

I won't hesitate to ask case to freeze this thread if things turn sour.

What makes you skip a fic?

Let's assume that you've found a fic that on the first glance contains all those things you are looking for, such as your OTP, your favorite genre (fluff/angst/etc.) and the summary looks interesting. What would make you skip it anyway without even clicking the link?

I've noticed that there are three things that raise warning flags for me:
-author's name contains misspellings, a pairing or several X's (xXxSwanQuenXxx)
-author apologizes for the fic or gushes about their feelings or inebriation (don't hate me, I'm so sorry, I cried so much, I was so drunk)
-the wall of tags

Oh, I see IP logging is off. In that case, I have a huge crush on my best guy friend, and he's not into me, but he's so nice and I love him. I love being around him and I'm so glad we're friends. My dad put on Louis CK stand up and I thought he was supposed to be really funny, but it's actually a pretty homophobic, racist show. I guess I see who it caters to (people like my dad and mom and brothers), but I can't laugh any more at it. I hate watching this stuff because my boyfriend likes it and he calls me "too pc" for not liking it and it's annoying. Anyway, is there any comedy anymore that isn't racist, homophobic, sexist, ageist, fatphobic, or is offensive the name of the game in comedy?
