Better you than me, anon. I can't STAND turn-based combat, unless it's in shit like nethack. All the waiting around for people to do the shiny animation you've seen a bajillion times, the weird lining up in neat rows to slug it out, the inability to use terrain... uuuuugh I hate it.

But then again, I don't enjoy combat in games generally. I just want to get on with other shit.

Well, it's not alphabetic, is it? I mean, doesn't the "X-Files" have to do with "Unexplained", not just that it's the 24th division of files the FBI has? So it'd have to do with the letter somehow.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. The important line of distinction is the line where you understand that you don't really know the person and that you're not actually friends. But to be honest, feeling like you could be friends with a celebrity outside of the context of fandom and fame doesn't seem that much different from feeling like you could be good friends with a friend of a friend or someone you don't know that well IRL.
