I know you're going to get a lot of flack about liking this show and how it humiliate geeks and nerds more than respecting them (and in some cases, I agree)- but I understand your feelings. For the longest time I didn't have anyone around me that shared my nerdier passions and I always wanted friends that I could share my interests with.

So, no, not all that pathetic.

This is stuipd. You are being stupid. This is coming from somebody who loves SMBC.

If you don't like it, don't read it. This wisdom has existed probably since books became mass produced, if not sooner. It still applies today.

The idea you have to "support" something you don't like is bullshit as well. Don't like it, don't support it. If you agree with some of it's ideology, great! That's a stupid reason to read something YOU DON'T LIKE.

Stop doing this to yourself. The fact of the matter is you are contributing nothing but a tick on a traffic counter and nobody cares. At best, you are wasting your time. At worse, repeated exposure will make you hate this instead of just being indifferent towards it.

I don't think she's the strongest actress but I still liked her on Once and I feel like they wasted her character potential. Maybe it's for the best for her to leave, the show needs to organize itself a little better next season.

On the one hand, yes, it is very weird for some universes. Say, I would be mightily nonplussed if this happened to canon!Holmes and Watson.

On the other hand, nobody claims that this stuff is IC. More often than not it is really just fap material.

And, assuming that I have the third hand, this is only the tip of the problem with genderswap: sadly, in the majority of the cases genderswap means "everything in previously normal, balanced characters is suddenly about their gender". Which is irritating, yes.
