Domestic Violence in Manga and Anime

Does anyone have any recs for anime or manga that have domestic violence as a major theme (I know of Gunjo, which is great, and a couple of others that have it in passing)? It doesn't matter if it's m/m, f/f, or m/f. It could also be a Japanese film or show if it's easily accessible and has subtitles

If this seems like an odd request, I'll go ahead and mention that it's for an essay I need to write for one of my classes (I've been doing some googling too, but I just want to know if anyone has some personal recommendations)

I'm a cat person (I'm actually the anon who has a terrible fear of dogs off-leash), but my neighborhood is populated by dogs. Lately I've been biking around the neighborhood for exercise, and I'm tired of getting barked at by dogs -- some in a lazy way, some in a pretty damn scary, snarly way. I was thinking about starting to carry treats with me (my friend suggested pieces of mild beef jerky since I can't know if any of the dogs have allergies to the stuff in regular dog treats), but now I'm wondering...

If I toss a treat to a dog that's barking and growling at me, am I just encouraging it to bark more every time it sees me? The dogs that yap while wagging their tales I'm pretty sure will stop barking after a few treats, but a couple of the really mean ones seem super determined to kill me. Seriously there was this one I think might have been racist, the way it was hurling itself against the gate to try and get me.

Also, I know not to be silly enough to get within biting distance, but how do I give out the treat so the dog knows it's from me? Because tossing it over the fence seems rude and might not get the message across. My friend who told me to use beef jerky said to cut it into playing-card-sized pieces, so do I hold one end and carefully push it through the slats and chinks in the gates? Or is that too dangerous?

Any other tips and tricks for making friends with dogs would be deeply appreciated!

I'll start with some people I think deserve something nice to be said about them by me.

dethtoll: you're a genuine guy and you've clearly got strong ideals that you don't hesitate to stand no matter the cost. That's admirable.
dani_phantasma: you're a sweet person. You don't deserve any of the shit that gets flung at you by trolls.
chardmonster: you're one of the most interesting people in this entire damn place, bar none.
lb_lee: you've clearly had a rough go of it, but you manage to bring more positivity to this place than anyone else, so kudos to you.
anons: you're usually hilarious even though I can never tell you apart. Sorry for mixing you up all the time.

What are some of your favorite songs that tell an interesting story? One of my faves for this is "h My My My" or "Mary's Song" by Taylor Swift. It's corny but something about the story of two childhood friends who fell in love is sweet and sometimes gets me all misty-eyed.
