I've managed to pick up some kind of bug that keeps installing an extension on Chrome causing junk links (oh dear, I'm terrible at explaining... you know when certain words are highlighted and link to associated pages).

It shows up in Chrome as 'DisCountExTensi 7.2' and while it will let me delete it, it's there again the next time I open Chrome. I've uninstalled something with the same name via control panel and also outright deleted a folder with that name but it's still popping up... any ideas what to do next? I'm guessing uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome won't work?

Go to your computer's control panel, click "uninstall" and see if you can find it there.

Since people are putting series names in the character name thread... Let's just go with it and have a "titles that are cool" thread. :D Movies, shows, songs, books, art, whatever.

Me, I like the title of "The Hands Resist Him" more than I like the painting itself. Hum's "Downward is Heavenward" has a nice ring to it. Pretty much every Paper Chase song/album is interestingly named.

I really like the title/first line "Do not go gentle into that good night" more than the rest of the poem.

Also, "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" has enough body horror for my imagination already, I don't really want to read it.

Tabaqui as the kindly cat lady knows more about the whole thing than she's telling. Worked in the military.

Spreadsheet!anon as the detective who's overinvested in their job.

Radfem!anon as chard's bitter, but somewhat lackluster rival. Works at the community college in women's studies.

greenvelvetcake as kajinscendre's daughter who came back in time to stop a catastrophe.

iceyred as the sketchy family maid who sleeps with the husband and becomes pregnant with his child only to realize later that the child was the result of my one night of passion with his son who is now happily married.

fingalsanteater as the neutral triplet. May or may not be an often requested drink or horrible maid.

Cuteanimalpics as the regular who would pull up pictures of cute animals on their phone, but has recently disappeared under ~mysterious~ circumstances.

Nyx as the regular who usually gives long winded speeches, but they're actually pretty informative, and have a point, even if you don't agree with it.

stella as the old* bitter regular who's not actually as bitter as they first appear, and has a bunch of knowledge and a bunch of stories, but she can't tell them for ~reasons~. Gives advice, but never receives. Works at the hospital as a nurse.

Dethtoll's the mysterious neighbor that occasionally gets drunk and plays video games with stella to forget their troubles.

Noodles as the amoral businessman who helps or hinders protagonists and antagonists based soley on his ability to benefit from either. As a result, he has been shown capable of good acts but can't be trusted. Sometimes ends up in comas.

Othellia, intrigueing, and Gina as the classy ladies at the corner table who are more approachable than they first appear. Maybe either a witches coven or Greek fates that steer the lives of everyone in the town towards some mysterious end ... good? bad? no one knows. except maybe dreemyweird.

nursejoy as the sexy villian disgused as the cute young ingenue and that has really big glasses and frizzy hair or something.

loracarol as the somewhat oldfashioned bookworm that occasionally pokes in. Also the high school valedictorian and .... somebody's daughter, and has many influences in the town are hoping to steal them towards their sinister plots as soon as you graduate! Also works in the bookstore with her new cat.

I don't think it denies the legitimacy of adopted family members to be considered "real family" for some people to have a definition of incest that applies strictly to blood relations. Mainly because marriage is something that is possible for a non-blood related sibling in some (a lot of?) places, whereas a blood relationship would make it illegal pretty much everywhere. It's hard to call something incest when it is actually legal in a lot of places, you know?

The incest taboo applies equally to adopted and non-adopted children, I'd say, in cases where a child is adopted at birth, but when a child is adopted at an older age into a family where their potential romantic interest is also older at the time of the adoption, the squick doesn't settle in for a lot of people, and thus the taboo doesn't really apply.
