It'd basically be a fanwork exchange for the holidays (just like last year), matched by mutual fandoms/interests. Any kind of fanwork would be allowed, including podfic/cards/dolls/etc, not just fanart or fanfic!

Just looking for a show of interest for this year, to see if a repeat is something you guys would want.

I know there are some people on here that play. My sister and I have decided to start again! We have not played in probably 6 months. I have started but my sister has to wait a couple of weeks until her new laptop comes .

Until then I will be leveling a low level. But I was wondering if anyone had some links to understanding all the changes to the game since MOP. We didn't really understand that expansion all that well to be honest. It any advice would be great for a returning player.

I play Horde on Baelgun. I would not mind finding some people to play with. But I am not for sure what to need so we can friend each other....

Is anyone watching this show? The first season is on Netflix US and the second is about six episodes in on the CW right now. It's surprisingly very entertaining. I wasn't so sure at first and kind of hate-watched for a few episodes thinking I'd lose interest like like I did with Revolution, but then it just got really good and now I'm hooked.

It's got that Hunger Games/Divergent "post apocalyptic teenagers fight for their lives in the future" thing that's so popular right now. Anyway, so the plot is humans in the future live on a space station because earth has been uninhabitable due to radiation for like 99 years. But, the space station can't support as much life anymore and is failing, so a bunch of jerkass future adults send 100 juvenile delinquents to earth to see if it is inhabitable now. Then pretty everyone becomes encrusted in mud and dies. I mean, that's the gist, I don't want to spoil it. The characters are pretty good, and if you like shows for eye-candy, are nice to look at (especially Bellamy, imo). It has interesting adult characters as well as teen/young adult characters as well.

So, anyone watching or interested in watching?

Let's suppose you had a close online friend, and because you were close enough you knew their real name. Over the years you lost touch, but now thanks to Facebook, you can possibly find and friend them again. Is that crossing a fandom-RL line? I mean, it did bother me a bit when someone from a fansite found my FB and added me, but in that particular instance we really had never even really spoken before, so it was like when someone friends you because they go to the same college. Is it different when you were friends with the person, or is it still weird?

I need cheering up, F!S. The guy I was fucking has been stringing me along this whole time, used me for a place to stay and has finally admitted he's just not that into me. My pride is bruised to say the least.

Can you write about your characters' later lives without seeming like its all about shipping?

I'm a writer planning this story/series. I've planned it to be in two parts with the later being a shortish '10 years later' series

It takes place when the main characters are mostly grown up. And of course some of them are married and have kids. It actually follows up on things the first left off on, typing up all the loose ends, and finishes off a major villain for good.

It's focus is on the main characters from the first and what's going on in their lives, showing that their decisions when they were young (in the first part) and the consequences still impact them.

However I kinda worry that I'll be accused of doing it to show off the kids and for no reason other than to confirm canon pairings.

So I wanted to ask, do you think it's possible to write something like this without coming across like you just want clinch the canon pairings?

Silly problems of awkward people

My flatmate has friends over in the kitchen/living room, and I really want a snack. But I already said hi once and I don't want to awkwardly interact with them as I make a sandwich, and be judged for making a sandwich at almost midnight.

I pretend really hard around my flatmates that I'm super friendly, outgoing, and fun. But I'm a complete fraud!

Anyone else have pathetic awkward problems?

What'd be your Sequel?

I just re-read the first piece of fic I posted online about five or six years ago. And my OC was insufferable. I recalled I began writing a sequel, and I began to read my draft, unfortunately, it got me incredibly excited and frustrated because I realize I didn't remember the plot I had for this one and I really want to read it...only I haven't written it :/

What are the plots you have for fics you haven't written? Are they sequels? Would it ever see the light of day?!

So my downstairs neighbors (I think) have taken to, I guess, hosting raves part time or something. This is the third night this week they have played their music CRAZY loud. We have pretty thick walls, so they are seriously blasting it for me to be able to hear lyrics in my apartment. It's also past 11 on a Sunday. I don't want to be a crotchety old woman, but I have work tomorrow and didn't sign up to live in a frat house. (As added context, I live in a relatively quiet neighborhood, in a pretty nice vintage apartment building. We're not far from the campus of a college, but we're far enough [and, generally speaking, priced high enough] that college kids don't generally live near me.)

I am losing my mind over the music. That said, I know it is their apartment and technically, I suppose, their right to do what they want with it. What do I do? Is it inappropriate to write them a note and ask them to keep it down in the future? I don't want to be an awful nature, but frankly, I do think it's pretty rude to throw a really loud party on a Sunday.
