What's the weirdest constructive criticism you've ever received? Either from your beta or a random reviewer?

I think I just got mine; someone liked this Steve/ Bucky piece I wrote and also told me it was really sweet and that she hoped for a sequel. Maybe an hour later she sent me a PM with the constructive criticism that Steve was "OOC and an asshole" and how to fix that. It just seemed like she did a complete 180 between PMs when I would have taken the second comment all on it's own (I begged for constructive criticism in the tags!).

I will be watching the Super Bowl and rooting for the Patriots because my sister will be. I don't care about either team really.

Other than that, I'll hopefully be running some instances on WoW. We have only done like 2 since we got 100 forever ago. So hopefully a boring weekend for me.

Fandom friend troubles

background: I have little to no experience building actual human relationships. The only close relationships I've had for a considerable amount of time now are with my younger sister and with my best friend. The rest of them are all fairly recent (from half a year to two years).

I have this fandom friend about whom I care a lot. Unfortunately, we are both fairly inert, shy people, and initiating contact with each other is... difficult. I'm not accustomed to initiating contact at all (my policy in any relationship is pretty much "they talk to me if they want to, I always reply to what they say"); she used to speak to me all the time, but recently she just kind of... stopped. Nothing really happened, and she's not unfriendly to me, either. We simply don't talk.

I'm confused as to what I should do. Should I start a conversation just for the sake of having one (I haven't got much in terms of news she'd be interested in)? Should I wait and talk to her when I actually have something meaningful to say? Should I wait for her to talk to me?

I'm a bit afraid she got disappointed in me and is slowly ditching me, so that's not helping, either. Any advice?..

Was planning on having a netflix night and came across this series. I'm a very very casual sci-fi fan but don't really know anything about it, actually, I thought the show was older than it apparently is (probably because when I was young I remember my uncle being a fan of it, probably which made me never have any interest, lol). I ended up watching the first two episodes and it's actually pretty good so far!

Does/did anyone watch it? Is it a recommendation? Just the first two episodes I think it's done a pretty good job of not being predictable or cheesy (maybe a tiny moment here or there but mostly feels pretty authentic).

Interacting with People with Facial Obscurities

We've had a few people come into my office who are nice, friendly people, but have something wrong with part of their face (ie. severe burn scars, lazy eye, paralysis on one side, etc.). I normally don't make eye contact with people, but with these kinds of people, I feel it would be rude to NOT look at them? They'd probably feel as if I'm avoiding looking at them, but it's just an insecure habit of mine to not look people in the eye, no matter who they are.

How do you interact with people with some sort of face-related issue?

Tips Reading Manga Online?

I've been trying to read a chapter of this obscure manga by a favorite author of mine, and the site is so. damn. laggy. I'm using arrow keys to switch to the next page, and it takes ages to load sometimes. Occasionally, the next page won't even load at all and it will take me to a blank page that doesn't work even when refreshed.

The new fantastic four trailer is out! It... doesn't look horrible. Though it's also not great. Based on everything we've heard, the movie is going to suck... I am in fact convinced it will suck. As additional evidence other then my infailable sense of these things there is also ALL THE OTHER FANTASTIC FOUR MOVIES THESE PEOPLE MADE. Lets remind everybody!

First, we are gonna go full corny. I was going to do shaq, but people want the original, literally made as a placeholder (but nobody working on it knew that) ROGER CORMAN FF!

Then, we get to see Fox fuck it up with a much bigger budget! FANTASTIC FOUR!

Then it gets even worse with supervillian Deathcloud vs Not-Super-Skrull in FANTASTIC FOUR 2! (Possibly with Rifftrax, working on that)
