I believe some people use them for reference when drawing, the more realistic they are the more handy in that respect, I suppose. The Loki one is terribly uncanny valley, I agree... but I hate action figures, I don't count.

Sure it makes sense. They brought the fandom to the front of your consciousness and provided additional fuel, subpar though you felt it was. The same thing happened to me.

I've been pleasantly surprised that my little corner of fandom is loving Kira and a lot of the new relationships and characters this season!

I've done the casual* watch of shows before and it is indeed a pleasant and relaxing change of pace now and then.

One thing to be said for Meyer's writing: they got less stunted over the course of the series. Granted, Bella backslid HARD in book two, but by the end of book three, it seemed like they were capable of something approximating an equal relationship.

(We shall not discuss book four, because seriously, what was up with book four?)
