I'm struggling between wanting to really encourage you to grow up and that this is insanely unhealthy, while understanding that concepts and pieces of our imagination can be the only constant comforts we have even when we can't rely on people. I know in my young life (child and young teen) I also felt my Pokemon and other fictional "friends" were more a part of me than real friends, which I didn't have many of. Even today, I can sympathize. But honestly, you need to find a way to put those feelings into real people. I'm sure there's gotta be people with similar interests at your college, if not, try something new?

It's not necessarily you. Some fandoms/fannish spaces are apparently just as clique-y as high school, full of mean kids who like slamming the clubhouse door on new people.

(I also personally wonder if fandom has changed. In my experience, ten or fifteen years ago, when BBS and forums were the primary spaces, almost every fandom seemed a lot friendlier and welcoming of newbies.)

Never really watched the Nightmare on Elm Street series (though I really should), but I understand the sentiment. My favorite a Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie is the second one because it's campy as hell. I love it.

I think it's a terrible idea and my reasoning is that it would be offensive to someone either way.

The Dr goes on with his life (her?) as if nothing happened? So gender doesn't matter at all?
Or the Dr acknowledges gender issues and it's done in a rush because it's not the focus of the show?

I dislike both options :/

FitzSimmons is my favorite thing about the show. Like OP, I don't really care that it's cliche, but I like having two people who care about each other and have a common interest.

I actually do like May, though I'd like her (and everyone else) to get a lot more development. I don't mind Ward or Skye, but I'm not particularly interested in anyone except Fitz and Simmons.
