I think it's funny to see this secret today.

Just recently, a podfic of one of my all time favorite fics was posted, and I was listening to it just for kicks, to try it out. The person reading it was kind of monotone and I think their voice is kind of weird. It didn't fit the characters at all, and it didn't fit the story particularly well.

So I feel you, OP. I feel you.

Stop at the first one. It has a kind of semi-charming low-budget vibe to it, when it was made with the idea that a big, female-dominated YA book fandom wasn't really going to affect the movie. I guess I mean to say it's far less self-conscious than it could have been.

I never really got the Digimon fantasy. Having a creature with the power to fight never seemed as impressive to me as having the power to fight directly. Maybe it's more about having a friend who will never abandon you? I dunno. (Folks certainly flip out when the fantasy is broken. The rage I've seen over adults having Digimon partners is matched only by the rage over "traps" dating women instead of men.)

I agree that it's addictive but that doesn't mean it's good

I think tumblr is kind of like the, I don't know, the McDonald's Chicken Nuggets or the potato chips of online communities or something

It's actually kind of completely awful for a lot of the things that make a community good and its structure actively encourages a lot of toxic behavior, but at the same time, it's completely addictive

that's not a good thing

Ahh, a Balto secret! This was one of my favourite animated productions when I was a child. I liked the third part a little less 'cause it had this weird Russian dub, but the first and the second ones felt amazing to watch.

I know the romance plot is cliche-y and all that, but actually, I loved the historical references and the atmosphere way more than the character interactions.
