I imagine most of us do if we're not on vacation or too busy, but I'm curious as to how many don't. No big reason, other than that I Usually do, but realized today that I entirely missed two secret posts this week because I uh.. got waaaay too sidetracked playing Final Fantasy XIV. *cough*

If not every day/secret post, how often do you come to F!S? If you're a day(s) behind, do you look through the comments for the days you missed anyway? I sort of did, but it's usually a moot point leaving any like a day later.

For some reason I keep watching "Make You Feel My Love" just for the catch in Lea's voice and Jenna breaking down completely. I guess these characters have become so cartoony that it's oddly mesmerizing to see them be human?

Also, the Tina thing pissed me off. I figured that it was going to lead to a story about how Finn encouraged her to get out of her goth phase (or just wear happier clothing), or show that her preoccupation with her clothes was a coping mechanism to avoid thinking about him dying. Whose underpants has Jenna hot-sauced for her to get this kind of treatment on the show?

So I'm Named After An Abusive Fuckwad

I've always known that my great-grandmother whom I was named after was a "difficult" woman. My mother always described her as being incredibly street smart (the woman did manage to grab her kids and run from the Nazis going on pure instinct instead of waiting around to see what would happen like everyone else in the town) and good at reading people.

Recently I was talking to my grandmother about her mother, and you guys, I'm not gonna get into details, but put it this way: if someone on F!S showed up and repeated this story to us all, the first thing we'd all be saying is, "that is incredibly emotionally abusive and you have to remove yourself NOW." My grandmother doesn't think in terms of emotional abuse -- hell, I don't know if she even believe it's a thing. But she got out of that house because she was "too hard to live with".

I previously thought "hard to live with" meant "persnickety about cleaning and always on your ass about something", not this kind of clinically crazy shit. AND I'M NAMED AFTER THIS WOMAN TO CARRY ON HER MEMORY.
