When did people start forgetting that headcanon does not mean actual canon? I'm getting so sick of people running these moral crusades against show writers, simply because the canon was "offensive" or "insulting" to their own personal headcanons. It's totally cool that you read certain character(s) as Asexual, Bisexual, or Homosexual, but just because they end up being *gasp* sexual and/or Heterosexual doesn't mean the writers have slighted you. If you want to stick to only one certain headcanon, then stop watching/reading/listening to the actual canon. Don't freak out about it when the real canon is shown to be something else entirely.

I'm Asexual myself, but I'm sick to death of the Asexual reading fans spamming tumblr tags with how someone having sex is insulting, and "omg this is an attack on people who want to stay virgins!" and blahblahblah. It is going to be an extremely rare event that a character is ever intentionally written as strictly Asexual, so to hope against all evidence to the contrary that a character is never going to be sexual is just...setting yourself up for disappointment.

So I looked The Hobbit up on Amazon the other day, and the first five results were DVDs for the movie.

I don't even like LOTR that much and it made me sad.

Thor2 came and went in my small town in a WEEK, and i never got the chance to see it. Anybody have, like, a DVD screener link i can dl? All i can find are cams, and cams suck. I'd really like to see it sooner rather than later, and it's not gonna be out on dvd for another month (and there's no guarantee i can afford to buy it then, anyway).

Recently I was babysitting some kids and while they were getting ready for bed, I got out my copy of A Feast for Crows I was going to read while they were sleeping. The older boy asked what the plot of series was. I explained it as, "The old king dies in a suspicious way, and his good main adviser is framed for treason by some bad people. So a civil war breaks out over who should really rule the kingdom."

So your game is this: briefly describe a series or a character's main plot as if to an 8 year old. Don't use any names.

I never get turned on by movies, or much of anything really. But I can't watch more than a scene or two of this movie without having to leave the room for some private time.
