Considering that Sesshomaru hates all humans (except for Rin), and IIRC he never showed any inclination for caring about Kagome (except as an extension of what she could do for Rin), your analysis that Inuyasha would treat her better is pretty spot on.

Like, it always made me laugh when people would go on an on about how Sesshy would be a ~perfect ~gentleman to Kagome. I mean, really? Maybe if she was secretly a youkai, but even then, Sesshomaru has standards.

He's like Darcy from P&P (which probably explains a lot of the shipping to be fair) if Darcy's only redeeming quality was that he cared for a human child, but he still hated everyone else.

(note, I haven't read the series in a couple of years, so it's completely possible I'm missing/forgetting something.)

(And, granted, by the end of the series, I think Sesshy had become less of a human-hating assbutt, but I don't think it would ever be enough to fall in love with a human, though admittedly, that bit's just my headcanon.) /shrug

I have never seen anyone say this, only that she isn't as stupid as her haters make her out to be, nor is she (most commonly) responsible for the entire downfall of the Starks. I don't think that's saying she's the most brilliant mind Westeros has ever known, exactly. Just not a dullard.

So you want to get into fandom to find people with similar interests? That sounds fine to me, isn't that what it's there for? I don't have any particularly strong feelings about incest kink one way or the other, it doesn't do it for me but I'm not going to run away disgusted certainly.

haven't seen this, but here's an observations:

evil, ass-ignorant motherfuckers don't go around being evil, ass-ignorant motherfuckers every second of the day. they take breaks to dote on their wifes, drink with friends, take care of their kids. They may even donate to charity or save a puppy once in a while when the mood strikes.

doesn't make them less of the ass-ignorant evil motherfuckers they are. just means the world isn't quite as black/white as all that and sometimes even an ass-ignorant evil motherfucker is an okay person for an hour or so.
