I didn't think his episodes were particularly bad, they just didn't feel like the rest of the show, which bugged me. Also, Goren is who makes CI what it is, as the show goes very much into his personality and background, especially compared to other L&O series, so without him it doesn't feel like CI. At least with Chris Noth's episodes, it still felt like L&O in general since he had been on the original show, but the Goldblum version felt like a completely different show.

I completely agree. I just watched the episode involving asexuality yesterday. I was angry, to say the least. I was excited to see it at first, but then it backfired. Big time. It would bother me as much if:
a) They didn't use actual statistics for asexuals before disproving the patient's asexualities.
b) They at least implied that House's patients were not representative of the entire asexual population.

I disagree. I think they both needed some kind of closeness from each other, and it was similar to romantic love, but not quite the same. Perhaps solace?
I've no idea, I really need to watch it again when it won't make me bawl.

I was totally fascinated by Leah, NGL. Also, coincidentally, she's not even the only werewolf character named Leah who I'm supposed to hate but who I really want to know more about even though the author seems to want me to see her as totally irritating. See also Leah from the Mercy Thompson/Alpha and Omega books by Patricia Briggs (who I fully acknowledge treats other people horribly, but her psychology fascinates me...her husband basically married her because she's fuckable but unloveable, and she can't ever leave that pairing unless one of them dies, and they're immortal and have been together for hundreds of years...how would you not be totally fucked up by that...uh, /tangent).

Sanji looks incredibly hot in that pic. I'm not even that much of a Sanji fan, but damn.

That said, I have done that a few times as well. Especially when I cook, I sometimes think that Sanji would disapprove of how callously I treat the ingredients and how much I waste (especially when it comes to meat. I hate fat, and am usually rather generous when removing it). Sorry Sanji. :(

I have a friend who watches Supernatural casually and I get what you're saying. It's always awkward when I try to talk to her about the show and get overexcited about plots and characters. Most of the time she has no idea what I'm talking about even though she watches every episode, so the conversation fizzles down to talking about Jared's abs and Misha's eyes. : /

This. God, all they end up doing is taking up a chunk of fandom space and making it hostile. It's even worse when they make themselve so insular by avoiding fans who don't hate, old or new, that they convince themselves they're 'most' of fandom and that what they say is law. Move on, already, douches, it's only entertainment.

I think review videos usually work best when you're reviewing writing that's done professionally (or at least semi-professionally and vanity published). When you do things like that with something like fanfic, which is done as a hobby, it can come off as incredibly mean. If someone's getting paid to write, then there's at least the excuse that they should be able to write (although, obviously this is not always the case), but with fanfic writers it's just a past time. There's a big difference between giving someone honest critique on their fic and ripping it apart for laughs.

I might be taking it a bit too seriously, though, but that's just my take on it.
