Pre-Flight panic

No, not because I'm scared of flying. I am just terrified of getting to the airport and realizing that I forgot my passport or something!

I'm flying a long international flight tomorrow to go home for the holidays and am freaking out! Even though I've done these sorts of flights loads of times before I always convince myself that I'm going to be late, forget something, my ticket would somehow be invalid (?), or whatever will go wrong, and then the world will end.

What are some silly things in media (books/movies/tv/music/games) that drive you crazy every time you experience it?

I was listening to the Nightmare Before Christmas OST for the hundredth time since December 1st. And the song "What's This" drives me crazy for a very stupid reason. Why does Jack not know what a snowflake is but knows what a snowball is?!?

While I love the movie Gladiator, the end where Maximus stabs the emperor is annoying because I can see how the knife is not in his neck. Obviously they can't actually stab him but there were way better angles they could have chosen.

Should I watch/play/read this?

Case is an excellent mod. The only comment I have is that I'd like for deleted threads to be frozen and not deleted (I mean entire threads, not stupid driveby trolling) because I love reading other people's wank. But I get why this would probably be a Bad Idea.

I wonder how many people Case has banned? There's a certain assbutt I haven't seen around here in years that I'm fairly certain was banned, but I have nothing to really base that on other than instinct and the nonsense he was stirring up before he vanished.

Is Korrasami 'queer baiting'?

I keep seeing this (The crosstaggers are strong with one night before the finale left) and I don't personally see it. The only thing that might count as that would be the blush, but Korra blushes when she's complimented (See:Bolin, never got or implied to get with him, so) I don't see them doing friendship stuff as romantic. When I think of queer baiting, I think of SPN. And /maybe/ the Adventure Time comics (Though they're not canon, the Bubbline as vampire/candy queens thing was cute) Korrasami is just reading as another Zutara to me. Really popular, but never was really there.

What to do when family members "snub" you?

My sister 1 (and husband) and sister 2 (and husband/baby) are having dinner together and watching Guardians of the Galaxy. This pissed me off because I was not invited. Which, I can understand because I often don't want to do things with all of them together (they are LOUD). But sister 1 knows I have been very excited to see this movie.

Still, I'd only been a little aggravated EXCEPT one of them posted on FB "Chili, finishing the Christmas ornaments, and Guardians of the Galaxy with HUSBAND, SISTER, BABY, and OTHER HUSBAND. Wish ME was here too!" Sorry I didn't come to the thing I wasn't invited to. I only live 10 minutes away. And no, replying to my text of "So hungry!" with "Ya'll ain't doing dinner? We are eating chili. It's delicious. You should have come over." is not an inviatation. Especially considering you are already eating and I am already cooking.

To people from Germany or who have visited: My cousin and her husband are going to Germany over Christmas to visit his family. What should I have them bring back for me? Preferably something small, not too expensive, and hard to find in the US. Last year they brought us back steins and the year before that, chocolate.
